I received a package in the mail yesterday from ICanMakeit who's on the HGTV board. It contained some very pretty pieces of fabric. Plain old tissue paper (the kind you use to wrap with) is the best thing to use when you want to stitch a image or letters. I traced these letters onto the tissue paper then pinned it to the block I was working on and stitched the letters. When I was done I just torn the paper off... Yep it's Monday and I was able to get quite abit done... 12 days of Christmas are now all done and I even added something to them.... Christmas Dotee's are done, still working on the last two ornaments (that's ok tomorrow is a holiday so PO is closed). Last night R and I attended the funeral for the mom of FDIL. She was only 51 but when they found the lung cancer in May it was stage 4, and already moved into her brain... Listening to people talk about her I wish I could had met her before her passing... Ahhh went shopping today with mom.. Actual Mom shopped and I windowed shopped but after not shopping in awhile it felt good....Beside I was able to drool over the fabrics....better then nothing...I do have 7 of the ornaments embellished and 1 actually sewn together waiting to be stuffed... Here's a picture of what I finished yesterday... Mother and daughter apron's for my cousin and her daughter... They turned out great only thing is I should had used a solid color as my coordinating fabric. It's not bad but a solid would had given more contrast.Now to get some more sewing done...

DS's girlfriends mother has been diagnosed with cancer of the lungs and brain. Just being me I made her a healing doll with several healing stones and stuffed with healing herbs.
