I took a glass pie plate out of the oven took my food off it and set it in the kitchen sink... Then I hear some cracking look over and the pie plate broke in 3 pieces... I thought that wasn't suppose to happen!!!!
Oh well that's the way my day has been going... First I get woke up at 8am to the pounding. I look out and see men standing in my yard with long metal rods with wooden handles on them, and they are pounding them in the yard. Go get dressed It's 30ยบ outside find my coat... Go out side to find out what's up.... Oh they are the water company and after testing lines figured out I have roots in my water line so they are cleaning them out before the pipes bust... Ok that lasted 3.5 hours...
Grrr and I miss my hubby only 9 more days and he'll be home...

The sink must have been cold! I made the same mistake once but I poured hot tea into a cold picture it shattered and hot tea went everywhere. I had made tea in that picture a million times before but this time I took it out of the fridge gave it a rinse and went to pouring, my guess was it was because it was cold. I loved that picture, but never made that mistake again.
Yeah I went to their web site and it says
AVOID SEVERE TEMPERATURE CHANGES. Do not add liquid to a hot dish. Handle hot bakeware dishes with a dry cloth or potholder. Never place hot bakeware on wet or cold surfaces.
Guess the sink was to cold, it's very cold here the pass few days, I know nothing like what's happening in the north
